CAMBRIDGE SASH WINDOWS specialise in the modification and installation of slimline double glazing into your original sash window frame to provide you with the benefits of double glazing whilst retaining the original look. You will gain all the thermal and sound benefits without compromising the charm, character or value of your property.

We offer the most comprehensive service when installing double glazing to ensure longevity as follows:

  • Old paint layers are removed from the frames to be sanded and repaired before we start the double glazing fitting on each pane.
  • All frames are primed after the new double glazing, and a further two coats of weather resistant paint are applied ready for installation .
  • Before the sash frames are installed back, the sash box is sanded, repaired and painted.
  • To complete the installation  our draughtproofing system is added along with new locks and sash cords.

Energy Reduction

  • Single glazed windows lose around one third of  heat in the average house. This type of windows have a U-Value of 5.4, not very energy efficient!
